Induced Draft (ID) fan are used to create a vacuum or negative air pressure in a system or stack. Our centrifugal blowers are used to maintain elevated ventilation, resulting in increased system efficiency. In the boiler industry induced draft fans are often used in conjunction with induced draft fan to maintain system pressure which is slightly lower than ambient.

Working Principle:

Induced draft fan is also used to identify the combustion process used in large boilers. When mechanical ventilation is supplied to these boilers, the heat transfer rate increases. Induced draft fan or induced draft fans is always located between dust collector and chimney. Induced draft fan takes the hot flue gases from furnace via dust collector (dust separation system or Fume Extraction system) and will deliver to chimney. Induced draft fans produce the pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure in the system or we may say that Induced draft fan produces the negative pressure in the furnace to remove the flue gases from furnace via Multi Cyclone and to push the flue gases to chimney.
